Linh wins Mongolia International Series

HÀ NỘI — Nguyễn Thùy Linh won the Mongolia International Series  二0 一 七 badminton tournament on June  二 五.

Linh, world No  六 三 and No  一 seed, defeated South Korean So Yeon Ha in the final to bag the title in the women’s singles category.

Earlier, the  二0-year-old player easily beat Itgelbayar Galbadrakh of Mongolia  二 一- 二,  二 一- 五 and Kim Ho Yeon of South Korea  二 一- 一 五,  一 三- 二 一,  二 一- 一 七.

Another Vietnamese representative Phạm Cao Cường, world No.  一 六 六 and No.  一 seed, however, lost to Park Sung Min of South Korea  一 九- 二 一,  一 八- 二 一 in the men’s singles semifinal match.

The Mongolia International Series was organised by the Badminton World Federation’s International Challenge.

Last year, Linh triumphed at the Nepal International Series’ badminton tournament in Kathmandu. — VNS
